ABSTRACT

The article presents current data on the role of therapeutic nutrition in the treatment and rehabilitation of children with acute viral diseases. The main violations in the nutritional status of children with viral diseases of the upper respiratory tract, as well as those caused by coronavirus infection, are described. The paper describes in detail the properties, indications for the use of new health food products in the complex therapy and rehabilitation of young children and older with various viral diseases. The developed therapeutic food products contain plant components with antiviral, immunotropic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activities. The clinical and biochemical effects of a specialized product of general strengthening action for children from 12 months of age, containing vitamins and a biologically active phytocomplex, which provides a decrease in ASL-O titers, an increase in the concentration of serum IgA, and indicators of phagocytic activity, are described in detail. A clinical study of a new domestic medical food product used for colds showed its effects in improving the general condition and accelerating the recovery time, reducing inflammation in the ENT organs and coughing. The authors of the article recommend that in the course of viral diseases (influenza, COVID-19, etc.) with symptoms of dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract, as a therapeutic food for children from 1 year old, therapeutic jelly for disorders in the gastrointestinal tract, which helps to reduce inflammation of the gastrointestinal mucosa and normalizes microbiota. For older children (from 12 years of age) the following have been developed and clinically studied: a healing drink for viral diseases with vitamin D and a detoxification drink with immunotropic and detoxification activities, respectively. All studied domestic health food products are clinically safe. ABSTRACT

Introduction. Neurological pathologies are typical not only for adults, but are also widespread in childhood. These are disorders of speech and language functions, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, emotional disorders. Also, many cognitive impairments affect patients who have had acute viral diseases, especially the coronavirus infection. Purpose-to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a specialized dietary therapeutic food product and dietary preventive nutrition-jelly "Good Memory" and the phytocomplex included in it at various neurological symptoms. Materials and methods. In a 30-day study with 68 individuals (34 adults and 34 children, ages 1 to 21), the effect of a monthly intake of a phytotherapeutic complex on memory parameters was tudied,attention, intellectual performance of volunteers included in  the study according to Bourbon tests, methodology «Kraepelin score», Eysenck subtests, graphical test and IQ indicators according to the Denver test. Results. A 30-day intake of a specialized food product jelly «Good memory» contributed to improving the performance of  various types of memory and attention, reducing fatigue, increasing efficiency. The survey showed that the intellectual performance of the comparison group decreased by 59% for all three indicators of mental activity. So, in terms of mathematical abilities, the improvement was 47.1%, for linguistic-34.7% and for the total indicator-52.2%. At the same time, the main indicators stabilized intellectual performance. Conclusion. The results of the study allow us to recommend a specialized nutrition jelly «Good Memory» children over 1 year old  and adults to maintain the integrative functions of the brain and other parts of the mental process, as well as for the prevention and rehabilitation of post-covid cognitive impairment, recovery of mental, intellectual performance. © 2022, Remedium Group Ltd. ABSTRACT

Introduction. One of the most significant issues that require close attention in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients with coronovirus infection is the analysis of the nutritional status of patients and the development of approaches to nutritional support for patients. Aim of study. Analysis of nutritional status of patients infected with COVID-19 and studying the effectiveness of specialized products dietary therapeutic and preventive nutrition during illness and recovery period. Materials and methods. A survey of 283 patients with mild and moderate severity was conducted. The survey showed a significant change in eating behavior in patients during the disease. To assess the effectiveness of nutritional support during the disease and during the recovery period, 36 individuals took a specialized product of dietary therapeutic and preventive nutrition “Detoxifying Kissel” LEOVIT DETOX daily after the diagnosis of COVID-19, both throughout the entire period of the disease, and within 2 weeks after the disease and going to work. Results and discussion. The survey showed the presence of a significant range of eating disorders in patients with coronavirus disease. It was found that in 90% of the respondents during the day, the main meal was 3 or more times. During the disease, the number of main meals decreased in 40% of individuals, and only in 4% of patients this figure increased. When using nutritional support with dietary therapeutic and prophylactic foods during the disease, patients noted a significant decrease in weakness and fatigue, temperature fluctuations, fears, anxiety, suspiciousness and other symptoms began to disappear. The continuation of the intake in the post-ovoid period of the use of nutritional support with the dietary therapeutic and preventive food product “Detoxifying Kissel” LEOVIT DETOX, contributes to a faster recovery of patients. Conclusion. The use of the dietary therapeutic and preventive food product “Detoxifying Kissel” LEOVIT DETOX is an effective method of nutritional support both during the disease and in the post-ovoid period. Long-term use of detoxification products (at least 3–6 months) after the disease is recommended. © 2021, Remedium Group Ltd. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

Introduction. The article examines disorders of the digestive function, diet regimes, appetite in conditions of prolonged self-isola-tion and quarantine during a coronavirus pandemic. The article analyzes the clinical efficacy and safety of the use of specialized dietary therapeutic and dietary preventive food products in conditions of self-isolation and quarantine. Methods. A survey was conducted of 620 individuals of various ages who were in self-isolation and quarantine from 1 to 1.5 months. All participants were questioned, examined by a gastroenterologist and therapist, biochemical and clinical blood tests, endoscopic examination of the stomach and duodenum, ultrasound of the abdominal organs. Results. A survey of 620 individuals showed that self-isolation / quarantine can lead to changes in diets, dietary patterns, changes in eating habits, the development of a number of symptoms from the gastrointestinal tract and other organs, changes in body weight, and chronicity. a number of previously existing diseases. The use of dietary food leads to an improvement in the antitoxic function of the liver, anti-inflammatory effects, and an improvement in the symptoms of gastrointestinal diseases. Discussion. Clinical and laboratory data make it possible to state the need for the use of specialized dietary products of domestic production in the diet prophylactically in people from risk groups, as well as in patients with various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract both during illness and for the purpose of rehabilitation. Conclusion. Data on the efficacy and safety of dietary food products give reason to recommend them for inclusion in the diets of patients infected with SARS-CoV-2, both during illness, in order to prevent complications and improve the effectiveness of treatment and subsequent rehabilitation of patients, as well as for the rehabilitation of individuals, who were in self-isolation and quarantine for a long time. © 2020, Remedium Group Ltd.
